The Mayor of Buuhoodle Municipality, Hon. Abdifataah Ali Awil, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Muse Ahmed Ali, chaired the weekly meeting of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Council.
The meeting focused on key priorities aimed at strengthening local governance, improving public services, and advancing the overall development of the municipality.
A major focus of the meeting was municipal security, with discussions centered on strengthening security measures and enhancing cooperation between the local administration, security institutions, and the community to ensure a safe and stable environment.
The leadership also discussed restoring the cleanliness and appearance of the municipality, emphasizing improved sanitation, proper waste management, and the rehabilitation of public spaces to create a cleaner and more attractive urban environment.
Another important issue was the opening of blocked roads. The meeting reviewed challenges affecting access and movement within the municipality and emphasized the importance of improving roads to facilitate transportation, connect communities, and support local economic activity.
The committee further addressed increasing municipal revenue, with discussions focused on strengthening local revenue systems, improving revenue collection, and ensuring that municipal resources are managed effectively to support public services and development priorities.
